Maps are very beautiful pieces of art, they seem to tell a story and reveal a piece of history all at the same time. They act as a historical piece as well as a fantastic decorative work. Many people like to use maps as a way to decorate because they offer so much more than a typical painting or picture.

As a decorative piece, a map is eye catching and interesting. It is very possible to stare at a world map for hours and not get bored.
