Not only does it represent your goals, it also represents the ideals and desires you and your team has for a business. While it can change due to changes in the economy or business field, it still provides a direction for the company. This is absolutely necessary, otherwise growth and advancement will never occur. Though a vision statement might sound similar to a mission statement for those inexperienced business leaders, such as small business owners just starting out, there are key differences. A Boom in Pre-Existing Real Estate Sales

In towns and cities all over the country, many in the southwestern regions such as the Texas town of Denton, foreclosure has been on the mind of many people. However, even given the current state of the economy, during the month of July sales on existing homes rose just more that seven percent. The real estate market saw more first time buyers surging the market than it has in a very long time. This was the largest jump in the market for one month in ten years.

Even just a few months ago, home owners were resistant to even put their houses up for sale, as no one was purchasing real estate, however is seems that those times may be reversing. The data was recorded by the National Association of Realtors, who had gone through the records of many states. Not only was July’s jump in sales tremendous, July marked the fourth month in a row that the percentage has gone up. This report was given on the same day that the United States economy was declared by the Federal Reserve to be on the way to recovery.

At a conference in a few months ago in Wyoming, the Chairman stated, that although there are still some challenges to face, home prices are becoming more stable and perhaps even by the next term the United States will see evidence of that recovery. In some counties in Pennsylvania and in New Jersey that sales are still down, however, they are not as low as they once were. Analysts are stating that the government rebate program for first time buyers, eight thousand dollars, may be what is stimulating the market. At the same time interest rates are incredibly low and houses are priced at affordable prices. This upturn is fueled by those first time buyers, as they have no previous debt holding them back, they are able to take advantage of the current shifts in the market.

Though business training includes many methods and techniques for improving sales pitches and the attitudes and approaches salespeople use, there is one thing that people think business training can sometimes allow to slip by the wayside. The issue of equality in the work place.

Many people question whether or not this is an issue at all anymore. One of the biggest “bosses” in the country is Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House. And Sonia Sotomayor’s recent election to the Supreme Court shows otherwise as well. However, with these great leaps for women in positions previously held in general by men, some say the fight for equality has become a thing of the past.

With Price Waterhouse versus Hopkins in 1989, this equality issue was right out in front. Ann Hopkins was the defendant in the case. The case was to judge whether or not the company she worked for passed over her for a partnership because she was a woman. She was a perfect candidate, having been very successful through the business training the corporate world provides day in and day out and through her own abilities. She was a hard worker who took initiative and an excellent leader. She expected much from the people under her, but drove herself just as hard.

But that drive was considered by some to be rudeness and aggressiveness. On the other hand those same qualities, argued others, might be the same in a man but described differently because of gender biases. While the Supreme Court agreed her conduct could be too aggressive, they also say how there was discrimination at the workplace based on comments from other people who said she would get farther if she projected a more feminine persona.
Though the controversy of this case still exists, it is being addressed more and more in through leadership training. Women have more opportunities than ever to succeed in business roles now.

There are many things a sales team can do to ensure that they are successful in moving their products, satisfying current customers or clients, and able to generate more business ventures in a consistent manner to ensure continued financial viability of their company. A few of those steps are outlined in various business courses, manuals, and sales training guidebooks.

A thoroughly trained sales team, one that has had sufficient public speaking training will give a prospective client the comfort in knowing that the company they choose is truly different, that the sales teams do know about the goods they are selling or the services they are providing, and that they actually care about what it is they are offering.

This can be initially conveyed in the advertising or in the marketing side of things, but ultimately it comes down to the human interaction. When a salesperson is well equipped, they will be able to create an honest and open relationship with their clients. With knowledge, they will be successful in creating an attraction to their services and goods, over those offered by other companies.

Sales teams can work on their own marketing campaigns, by either coming up with customer surveys or questionnaires, or even just an interesting display in their office that will get people talking about better ways to serve their needs. When one is aware of what another needs, than one can gain a better grasp about how to go about satisfying those needs.

The sales departments and the marketing departments in this way, must be a true team, working together to cooperatively raise their bottom line and their financial success. For all those involved in business and sales, it is beneficial to work with products and services that one actually believes in, in the companies that they love working with. Steven Barbarich, the philanthropist

The definition of a philanthropist is the effort or inclination to increase the well-being of humankind, as by charitable aid or donations. Love of humankind in general. Something, such as an activity or institution, intended to promote human welfare. And a person who does this is someone who is special in our society. To think, not just about you, but about others is a noble and worthy goal.

Steven Barbarich is one of these people. He is a multi-faceted individual that is part inventor, entrepreneur, businessman, author and philanthropist. The last one on the list is however, not the least just because it is last.

Barbarich started out with a degree in Engineering from Harney Mudd College. He then took that to start his own business where he represented, manufactured packing and did marketing for fellow investors.

His most current endeavor, choosehottubsdirect.com, he embarked on after having a poor customer service experience while he was renovating his home. He bought a bathtub for his home off of an internet site and found that when it was delivered it did not fit the specs that he had intended to put it in. So after that experience he decided to do something about it and start a business doing just that, providing customer service and excellent prices for hot tubs.

It’s that business that he decided would participate in his philanthropy efforts. After Hurricane Ike made landfall and it devastated the country, being the third most destructive hurricane in United States history, he decided to do something about it.

Barbarich donated a portion of hot tub sales to the relief fund. He will continue with his efforts of philanthropy in the future and has pledged to do so without discriminating against creed, color or religion.

And that is really a noble deed in the business world.

The Robust Side of Singapore Cuisine

There are many adventures in the culinary realm of Singapore. And for those wanting to head out in search of them, many luxury Singapore business hotels would offer up suggestions of getting your meal from the streets, from a hawker stand. Years ago, part of the cultural charm of the city was in the cart vendors. Much as the vendors of San Felipe, Mexico selling spiced up versions of coconuts and watermelons from the back of their pick-up trucks, the vendors of Singapore would push their carts around the city, selling their tasty dishes. However in an attempt to appeal to a more international, and cleanliness conscious traveler, the government required them to find permanent buildings to sell their food. Many of the previous push-cart vendors have come together in the buildings of the hawker centers, and although the nostalgia of the push cart times lingers, the food is still as incredible as ever before.

The food, as in most of Singapore is fresh, and at the hawker stands there are much better deals to be found than in the higher end restaurants. Singaporeans enjoy their food with a passion, be they of Malaysian, Indian or Chinese descent, the diversity adds to the flavor. One of the more well known and visited hawker centers is the Newton Circus Food Center. While there are many tourists at any given time, the seafood stations are among the best in the city. And while these are technically fast food joints, the food is attended to with care unlike many of the corporate chains in the United States. In Singapore, fast food does not equate to non-nutritious food. The fast food at the Circus Center consists of fresh shrimp and squid served with spouts on a bed of noodles. Or huge plates of steamed rice with grilled prawns, topped with fresh roasted garlic and lime. Although the food is inexpensive it is important to note that the seafood in the restaurants and hawker stations is priced by the pound, and Singapore, it is worth it.

Customer service training needs to be on-going

Think of all the jobs you have ever had, from your first one to you current one. Do you think that on-going customer service training has made you the employee that you are today? You may say no, but then again, you may also realize that customer service training is really just a fancy word for companies simply caring about their employees.

Think about it, if I think about a job that I had, the one I think treated me best are the ones that provided ongoing business training, whatever that business may be.

I believe I was treated best and had ongoing business education when I worked for Ann Taylor. I took the job initially because I needed something during the summer my junior year of college. The training was normal for any retail job, so I figured you watched the training video and then that was it. At my last retail job that was it, so I figured that Ann Taylor would be the same.

Instead, though, there was on-going customer service training videos that employees had to watch each season. It made employees very knowledgeable about what they were selling and made them feel like they were in the know, a real part of the company.

This along with monthly meetings where employees (were asked how things could be improved made us feel like a team, not just a bunch of individuals.

As long as training is on-going and something that a company puts on the top of its list, the employees and managers will respond to it. The same goes for management training.

If training is on-going it will become more vital to an employee’s routine and their attitude. I never thought I could learn all that working in a retail job. But that just proves it can work on any level.
