Where the Quest Begins

Meet the Parents in Seattle

Upon arrival into Seattle, I was picked up by my future husband, he took me to my hotel suite, one I booked online, click here: hotelseattle.net if you’re interested, because I got a really good deal for a really great room. My fiance’, wanted to put me up at his parents house, but I just didn’t feel comfortable with that idea. I happy he understood. He let me get some sleep, because tomorrow will be a busy day. He told me he had many plans for us.

The next morning, he came to pick me up and we hit the pavement. He had purchased tickets for a Walking Tour. Along our tour, we got to stop off at this restaurant for lunch, I had the best Mac and cheese! After we both filled up on the comfort food, we proceed up this very steep hill. It was really rather long and it seemed to take forever, but all that hard work paid off, the views we got overlooking the city was spectacular. Seattle appeared so pristine and inviting. Our walk back downhill was really nice too.

After our walking tour finished, we headed back to his parents place to get his car. His parents were both at work, so I didn’t get to meet the parents just yet. We drove to the Seattle Japanese Gardens, which was right across the street from our next hike. The garden was so peaceful and beautiful; all of the flowers were not in bloom yet, but there was plenty of greens. After spending a good amount of time in the Garden, we headed across the street to begin a nature walk.

The walk was amazing and we encountered some wildlife. The walk took us to the waterfront were we had a great view of the University of Washington’s football stadium. We saw a few crew members rowing in the lake. Then we encountered a very muddy path, we only had our white sneakers on, but being the troopers that we both are we sucked it up and kept on moving. After we made it through the muck, we reached the Seattle Museum of Industry, which had some great big pieces out in front, like a gun from a battleship, a section of a paper mill, and a firehouse bell.

By the time we made it back to the car, we were both exhausted, but it was time to introduce me to the folks. I hope they are as great as my finance’.
