Alaska photo adventure
Next summer we are planning on heading up to Alaska. We are going to be booking rooms at luxury hotels Alaska for this trip. Evenings in pampered luxury and days of rugged adventure is the plan.
With packs, boots and equipment in tow we are planning several day long hikes and rock climbing adventures. Wanting to get some nice nature shots and seeing more of this rugged state are two very strong draws for me. Previous visits have always been nice and I never tire of the scenery and wild life of course. Plus I really need some more photos to round out my nature and landscape photographic portfolios. I have been having some luck finding a market for the photographs I have taken in Alaska and would like to get some shots of the pine forests in the late afternoon light when the shadows are long and the sky changing colors. I am also thinking of some shots using hard angles making the image more abstract and painterly. i think these will add a nice dimension to the pictures I currently have to offer. The photos I currently have to offer are mainly blue sky morning and afternoon pictures. Early morning shadows and color along with the dramatic shadowing of late afternoon and the deepening colors of the evening sky are needed. I have had some requests along these lines too, so it has given me something to think about.
This time we will be staying there for a week and half, near Anchorage and taking trips daily to various locations for hiking and climbing and excisions on the water. I don’t have a lot of photos of the ocean in Alaska nor the wild life. On this trip i am hoping to get some nice pictures of wales and other sea life. Again another added dimension to my photographic portfolio.
I am already looking forward to this trip and getting the photographs to add into my portfolio.
