Bollywood
Movies are made and filmed throughout the country of India, however this industry has become synonymous with the city of Mumbai. Many travel to the city, much as many make the journey to Los Angeles, California, in hopes of making it in the movies. This brings populations of artists and directors and actors to the city and supporting the local businesses such as the hotels India. Mumbai has given their industry the term Bollywood, in reference to the industry in Hollywood, USA, is now meant to refer to the whole movie industry originality signified the Hindi based industry. Now, movies in various languages are made under the term of Bollywood. All over the world, the only country that produces more movies than India, is the United States.
The first movie was made in 1911. The silent film was shot at Filmcity and since that day the country has not looked back. Many of the stars of Bollywood films are often found in the park located next to the Filmcity lots, the Sanjay Gandhi. Much like the moguls in Hollywood have dreamed, Dad Saheb Phalke is known as the premier figure in the business in Mumbai, and throughout all of India. Thanks to his work, and that of all those in the industry these lots produce films that are equal to the large lots of Universal Studios and Dreamworks, with all the technology, the talent, and the drive. The public is encourage to attend the movie shoots, and have the chance of seeing their favorite stars at work.
